Who is Elina?
I'm a bright, aesthetic-loving and dreamy problem-solver who takes action every step of the way. I am in my fifth year studying clothing design at the University of Lapland.
My expertise is especially in sports and related functional and aesthetic clothing. For more than eight years, I have been designing team gymnastics competition uniforms for different teams. I currently work at Swoop Studio with a freelancer contract.
My style as a designer is simple, sensitive and intelligent. Even small details have a big meaning in terms of the whole.

I am at my best in project-based work. In the future, I want to be in an innovative and multidisciplinary work group that works towards a common goal.

Gymnastics suits
Team gymnastics has almost always been a part of my life in some way. I have been able to experience the sport from the role of a gymnast, a coach and a designer of competition suits.
Suits and their great importance to the sport have always fascinated me. Here you can see the suits I have designed over the years, which were made by Näppärät Sormet, EMD, Swoop Studio, Klaudia Leppäaho and Ompelimo Kello.
